Post Mortem: Interview #1

Hi Followers.

Our interview process begun today with me going first.  The best way to describe the session is that it was basically "getting to know you".  The SW (social worker) asked questions based around me, my family (structure and relationships) as well as my childhood.

So far not much has been spoken about our relationship (only sorta how we met) or the actual adoption but I guess that is in future meetings.  Tee's first appointment is next week and it looks like we will both have another individual interview early in January.

  1. thanks so much for your congrats on my blog, and wonderful news to read you have started on your adoption journey - I found blogging and reading other blogs really helped me get through the tough times, and especially good to keep your focus and keep excited, as everytime I read about an allocation and news, ohhh soooo exciting. It is a long road, but wow when that call comes!!! a miracle. The interview stages are tough on the olde brain, and analysing everything in your lives is rather trying, and be prepared to cry! everyone I have spoken to who have gone through this end up crying, they have to press buttons! Though as J and I always say it has to be a long process as it is a HUGE trust they place in us to parent our precious children.
